“1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may
abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any
longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into
Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried
with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from
the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness
of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body
of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7
For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ,
we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being
raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over
him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he
liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be
dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey
it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members [as]
instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God,
as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments
of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you:
for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we
sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of
obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the
servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine
which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the
servants of righteousness. 19 I speak after the manner of men because of
the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members
servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield
your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 20 For when ye
were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit
had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of
those things [is] death. 22 But now being made free from sin, and become
servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end
everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of
God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:1-23 AV)

“1 ¶ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
[which is] your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this
world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among
you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but
to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure
of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members
have not the same office: 5 So we, [being] many, are one body in Christ,
and every one members one of another. 6 Having then gifts differing
according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, [let us
prophesy] according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, [let us
wait] on [our] ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he
that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, [let him do it] with
simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with
cheerfulness. 9 [Let] love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is
evil; cleave to that which is good. 10 [Be] kindly affectioned one to
another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11 Not
slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12 Rejoicing
in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13
Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 14 Bless
them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15 Rejoice with them
that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 16 [Be] of the same mind
one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low
estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17 Recompense to no man evil
for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be
possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto
wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the
Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give
him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:1-21
